Lynn Bassett has been teaching dance since 1973. She is trained in tap, jazz, and ballet and is constantly learning and growing in the dance field. She started her studio in the basement of her parents home over 40 years ago and has since seen it grow. In 2000, she designed and purchased the building in which Dance Factory currently resides. Her three daughters, and now granddaughter have grown up dancing and she loves having a place for others to see their children grow and learn dance. Lynn is dedicated to bringing the best of dance education and instruction to her school.
Gina has been teaching for us for over 5 years and we are so happy and excited to have her on our staff, not just as a teacher and choreographer, but as Assistant Director! She graduated from the American Music and Drama Academy in Los Angeles in 2013 with her BFA in Dance Theatre and is back home now to share her talents with our wonderful students. She is excited to be teaching and her passion is choreography. She is currently certified in the Paula Morgan technique Level 1, which helps strengthen and advance our ballet curriculum. On the side, you can find her coaching the 2x State Champion University High School Poms Team and traveling with Encore Performing Arts Dance Competition in the Spring.
Nicole started dancing at age 3 and has trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theater, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. She graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelors of Art in Dance in 2017 and is back home now to share her talents with our wonderful students. She has additionally trained at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City and spent a year in Chicago expanding her dance knowledge with Chicago Tap Theater. We are so happy to have her back teaching dance classes as well as joining her sister as an Assistant Director at the Dance Factory. In her spare time, Nicole travels with Encore Performing Arts Dance Competition along side her sister, Gina.
Megan has grown up in the Dance Factory halls as a student and competition dancer, and we are so excited to now have her teaching and choreographing in our company for the last 7 years. She has trained in all genres of dance and continues to grow and learn. Megan has danced for the Radio Disney Road Crew, Colorado Dance Collective, and the Traveling Performers. As well as, choreographed for the University High School poms team and the Colorado Eagles Chicks. Her smile and energy is contagious, and she can’t wait to share her passion with you!
Meloney returns “home” to the Dance Factory after taking some time off from teaching to start a family. Born and raised in Greeley, Meloney grew up competing with the Dance Factory. She began assisting classes during high school and then teaching on her own shortly after. She is trained in all forms of dance and enjoys teaching it all! Meloney has 10+ years of teaching and coaching experience and has worked with dancers at all ages/levels. She is also the former Head Coach of the Northridge Cheer and Dance, and Greeley Central Dance teams. Her passion for dance has continued through adulthood and she is very excited to get back at it and share it with others. She has two children, Braeden the sports junkie, and Emercyn the dance diva, who is a member of the competitive program. Weekends are spent being their biggest fan and cheerleader!
Rachel started performing at the age of 7 years old. She quickly found a home in the world of musical theatre but also found a strong passion for dance. She has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Pointe. Rachel is currently studying Musical Theatre with a Minor in Dance at the University of Northern Colorado! She is so excited to be able to work with the Dance Factory and share her love of dance with you all!
Baylee Bernstein was born and raised in Las Vegas and began training in dance at 4 years old. She’s trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and contemporary and has competed in dance competitions around the state of Nevada growing up. She’s even performed in places like Disneyland and on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. In 2015, Baylee had the honor of choreographing a flash mob for the Red Rock Women’s Music Festival as well as choreographing a piece in the Las Vegas Academy Senior Showcase. Baylee also used her love for choreographing while competing in the pageant circuit. In 2017, Baylee competed as Miss Henderson in the Miss Nevada Competition, placing 2nd runner up to the title and walking away with a $10,000 scholarship to Nevada State College as well as a $1,000 Eileen Hale Scholarship for an essay she wrote on women empowerment. Now, Baylee attends University of Northern Colorado and will graduate with her Bachelors in Human Services in 2021. She is excited to share her longtime passion for dance and performance with the students at the Dance Factory!
The Dance Factory is excited to welcome Makenna to our staff as a teacher in Preschool, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop!
Kate grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado and started dancing at age 6. She's trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Pointe from Fountain Arts Center and Revolution Dance Academy for a total of 10 years. She currently is studying Biology at the University of Northern Colorado and is super excited to be teaching and to be back in the dance world!
We are so happy to have Kaitlyn back at Dance Factory! Kaitlyn grew up competing at Dance Dimensions in Longmont, Co and is now studying Criminal Justice at University of Northern Colorado. She had the opportunity to work for Disneyworld in Florida under a study abroad in 2019 and we are super excited to have her back in Greeley this year! She currently teaches Hip Hop and Jazz.
Aubrie is a recent graduate of Windsor Charter Academy in class of 2020! Aubrie has danced for 15 years here at Dance Factory and was part of our Competitive team. We are super excited to have her officially as part of our staff this year as an assistant and substitute. Even though Aubrie has trained in all styles of dance, her favorite is Lyrical. She is looking forward to studying Biology in College and is a huge Harry Potter and Star Wars fan!
Jessica is excited to be back at the dance Factory to be teaching and sharing her passion for dance! She spent a total of 14 years at the dance Factory learning and competing as well as assisting and teaching! She then spent 5 years dancing with the colorado dance collective. Jessica specializes in ballet, jazz, and lyrical. She's looking forward to sharing her passion with the students!
We are super excited to welcome Savannah to our staff as a teaching assistant! Savannah is currently attending UNC as a freshman. She grew up dancing competitively in Utah and Colorado and continued her passion for dance by joining the dance team at Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Co where she was voted captain during her Juinor and Senior year. She earned the title of All-American Dancer at UDA and NDA Camps and attended Nationals in Orlando, Florida. She is currently dancing with the Sugar Bears Dance Team at UNC.
